On the morning of June 19th, 2023, a company in the Democratic Republic of Congo ordered 100 tons of palm oil refining equipment from Huatai Group to be officially delivered. The project was led by Yan Feng, CEO of Huatai Intelligent Equipment Group.

Palm fruit, also known as oil palm fruit, has a flesh outer layer that contains 45%~50% oil and a hard kernel inside that contains the nut. The flesh can be used to make palm oil, while the kernel can be used to make palm kernel oil. The world’s leading producers of palm fruit are Malaysia and Indonesia. Palm fruit grows on large clusters on palm trees, with each cluster containing over 2,000 palm fruits. Palm fruit can be pressed to extract palm oil, which has been used as a natural food for over 5,000 years.
Palm oil is made by boiling or pressing palm fruit, while palm kernel oil is made by pressing palm kernels. Palm oil is the second-largest edible vegetable oil in the world. Palm cultivation has low costs and palm oil prices are low, making it highly competitive in the world edible oil market.
Saturated and unsaturated fatty acids each account for 50% of the fatty acids in palm oil, which gives it better oxidative stability compared to other vegetable oils such as soybean oil, rapeseed oil, peanut oil, and corn oil. In addition, palm oil contains 500-700 mg/kg of carotenoids (α and β-carotene), which are good antioxidants in crude palm oil.
Palm oil is an edible oil extracted from the fruit of the oil palm, a tropical woody plant. It is the largest variety of vegetable oil in terms of production, consumption, and international trade in the world. Along with soybean oil and rapeseed oil, it is known as one of the “three major vegetable oils” in the world and has been used as a food for over 5,000 years. The flesh of the fruit contains up to 56%~70% oil, which is mainly composed of palmitic acid and oleic acid. In recent years, the production and consumption of palm oil have continued to increase.
